Solid teak is the most durable premium option: its natural oils resist rot without lacquer, weathering to a silver patina. Outdoor tops are made from HPL, porcelain stoneware or Werzalit, none of which swell in rain.
Storage and seasonal turnaround
Plan for stackability from the start: chairs that stack 8–10 high need a fraction of the winter storage space. Outdoor cushions should use quick-dry foam with water-resistant fabric and must be moved indoors between seasons.
